On October 30, 2016, Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin met with visiting Minister of Agriculture and Forests Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji of the Kingdom of Bhutan, exchanging views on China-Bhutan relations and other topics.
Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin welcomed the delegation led by Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji, which consists of officials from agriculture, foreign affairs, religion, tourism and other departments of Bhutan, to visit China. It is hoped that this visit will facilitate mutual understanding and friendship between the two peoples and promote mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in various fields, so as to play a positive role in the development of China- Bhutan relations.
Minister Lyonpo Yeshey Dorji said that Bhutan admires China’s great achievements in its economic and social development and is willing to learn from China’s development experience as well as actively explore pragmatic cooperation in such fields as agriculture, tourism and religion with China, so as to constantly push forward Bhutan-China relations.
