THE 3RD CHINA-US COUNTER-TERRORISM CONSULTATION AT VICE-FOREIGN MINISTERIAL LEVEL HELD IN WASHINGTON D.C.

On October 25, 2016, Assistant Foreign Minister Li Huilai led a cross-sectoral delegation to co-chair the 3rd China-US Counter-terrorism Consultation at Vice-Foreign Ministerial Level with Acting Coordinator for Counterterrorism in the Bureau of Counterterrorism at the Department of State Justin Siberell of the US in Washington D.C., the capital of the US. Both sides exchanged in-depth views on international and regional anti-terrorism situations, bilateral and multilateral anti-terrorism cooperation and other topics, reaching a host of consensus. The second seminar on the fight of China and the US against improvised explosive devices (IED) was held at the same time, during which both sides mainly exchanged respective experience and practices in IED management and control.

On the same day, Assistant Foreign Minister Li Huilai met with White House National Security Council Senior Director for Asian Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink at the White House. Both sides exchanged views on China-US relations and other topics.
