DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF THE DEPARTMENT OF EUROPEAN-CENTRAL ASIAN AFFAIRS OF THE FOREIGN MINISTRY GUI CONGYOU ATTENDS RELEASE CEREMONY OF COLLECTION OF CHINESE AND RUSSIAN POEMS TITLED THE BOND OF POETRY

On October 31, 2016, Director-General of the Department of European-Central Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Gui Congyou upon invitation attended and addressed the release ceremony of the collection of Chinese and Russian poems titled The Bond of Poetry held by the Russian Embassy in China. The collection was prefaced by Foreign Ministers of both countries. Gui Congyou said that it is hoped that the two countries would continue to publish more and better co-authored literary works to achieve better people-to-people and cultural cooperation between China and Russia.

Russian Ambassador to China Andrey Denisov delivered a speech first. He said that the publication of the poem collection will be conducive to strengthening Russia-China people-to-people and cultural cooperation, enhancing communication between diplomats of both countries, and creating more opportunities for both Russian and Chinese literature enthusiasts to learn classical literary masterpieces of the two countries.
