CHINA AND INDIA HOLD CONSULTATION ON ARMS CONTROL IN BEIJING

On October 31, 2016, Director-General of the Department of Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wang Qun and Joint Secretary of Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division of the Ministry of External Affairs Amandeep Singh Gill of India held a consultation on arms control in Beijing. Both sides exchanged views on the constructiveness and substantiality of arms control issues of common concern, including expanding membership of Nuclear Suppliers Group, the UN General Assembly First Committee and the 8th Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention.
